Desert Solace is a residential recovery center in southern Utah that was founded in 2011 by Mark Jorgensen. At Desert Solace, we are committed to helping our patients overcome their addictions, ranging from sex and pornography addictions to gambling and substance abuse.
Mark Jorgensen and our team’s mission is to get our patients and their families back to living a healthy life by building successful plans to carry out after treatment is complete. Family members take on a big role in the healing process for each patient, as to why family days at Desert Solace are very impactful and positive in the recovery process of the patient.

Whatever addiction you or a loved one may be suffering from, Desert Solace has a wide variety of treatment options to fit each patient. Some of our plans include 12-step group or individual meetings, yoga, family weekends, equine therapy with on-site horses, and music therapy. Desert Solace is surrounded by beautiful red rock canyons which makes a great landscape for yoga and meditation, which is very peaceful!
Family involvement is key to helping our patients feel supported and successful. Desert Solace’s monthly family weekend is just one example of how necessary family support is on the road to recovery. Every month, parents, spouses, and other loved ones are encouraged to come participate in family activities with the patients like equine therapy and meeting with a therapist for a group therapy session. Family weekends are an amazing opportunity for families to reconnect and communicate in a healthy manner, thus helping the patients in their healing journey. Each program is designed to be lifelong solutions for every patient that comes in seeking help.
Desert Solace is an inpatient addiction treatment center in St. George, Utah. Desert Solace specializes in the treatment of pornography and sex addictions. Additionally, they offer treatment programs for gaming, gambling and substance abuse. Their inpatient facility for porn, sex, gaming, gambling and substance addictions features professional, licensed counselors, a professional chef, equine therapy and more.
